Why we built this
Most online file converters work the same way: you upload your file to a server, wait in a queue, and hope it comes back looking right. We wanted something faster and more private — tools that convert files directly inside your browser, using the same device you're already sitting at, without sending anything anywhere.
EasyConvertTools started with a simple frustration: iPhone photos in HEIC format that wouldn't open on a Windows PC, in an email client, or on a website upload form. We built a converter to fix that for ourselves, then kept going — adding more formats and more tools, all running entirely client-side.
What we believe
Conversion tools shouldn't require an account, a credit card, or a leap of faith about where your files are going. Every tool on this site runs in JavaScript, in your browser tab, on your device. There's no upload step because there's no server doing the work — which also means there's nothing of yours left behind once you close the tab.
That approach also keeps the tools free. Without server infrastructure processing every file, there's no usage cost that needs to be recovered with subscriptions or per-file fees.
What's next
We're steadily adding new converters for image, document, and media formats people run into in everyday life. If there's a conversion you wish existed, we'd like to hear about it — see our Contact Us page.
